Statesboro Market2Go:  The market is closed for Christmas

Hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season!

Northeast Georgia Locally Grown:  Northeast Georgia Locallygrown availability list for Dec.18

Good evening Locavores,
Welcome to market for this very special Holiday!
This cold blustery night should add greater appreciation to the fact that as you enjoy the cozy warmth of your homes you may also shop your Locallygrown market for Christmas treats and treasures.
Old Man Winter has been gentle with the farmers this year so a wide selection of vegetables are still available. You won’t find a Christmas goose but, there are many cuts and roasts of poultry, pork, and beef to choose from.
The bakers have offered up some fantastic desserts from Christmas cookies and gingerbread men to cakes, stollen, and that so special buche de noel by Sylvan Falls Mill.
We farmers, managers, and volunteers at Locallygrown wish for you to have a joyous Christmas with friends and family. Be happy, fulfilled, and safe and let the kid in you feel the wonder of Christmas.
Your market is now open for orders.

Duette, FL:  Merry Christmas!

The market will be closed for Christmas delivery. We will open the market on Christmas night for delivery on Wednesday, December 30th.

We wish you all a happy, healthy and save holiday!

Starting Jan 2016, all participating produce farmers (fruits, veggies and herbs) will hold certification as either Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown. Our board of directors has been working toward this goal with local farmers for a couple years now and we’re so happy to see it come to fruition. Big love to Laurie Ritchie and Sandy Legette for spearheading this big, important step toward more accountability, transparency and peer support within our own local foods system. For more information on these standards, visit www.certifiednaturallygrown.org.

And this event has a bonus … work alongside the Soul City Sirens Roller Derby Team who will also be volunteering that day! Of course, we’ll share a farm-fresh meal afterwards. Save the date!
