Cabbage Au Gratin

Serves: 4-6


Ingredients
1 T vegetable oil
6 cups shedded cabbage
1 large diced onion
6 T butter
6 T flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cups milk
1 1/2 cups grated cheese
taste taste bread crumbs

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Heat oil
  2. Saute cabbage and onion for 5 minutes
  3. Melt butter, add flour and seasonings thoroughly
  4. Stir milk in gradually
  5. Cook until thick then add grated cheese
  6. Stir until melted
  7. Mix cheese sauce with sauce with cabbage.
  8. Put in baking dish.
  9. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
  10. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
