Serves: 2-3 recipes worth


Ingredients
2 cup wheat berries (hard/high protein varieties work best)
7 cup water
1 tsp salt if desired

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Rinse and pick thru to eliminated stones and debris. Add to pot of water (and salt).
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Drain and rinse. Serve hot or cool for freezer storage.
  3. If storing, cover and refrigerate for up to 2 days or freeze for up to several months.
